It seems that most of the pro partners for DWTS celebs have been leaked now - Aaron Carter is said to be with Karina Smirnoff, Mya with Dmitry Chaplin, Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova, Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas, Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough, Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya, Mark Decascos and Lacey Schwimmer and Kelly Osbourne gets the one named after a beer, Louis Van Amstel.
So You Think You Can Dance producer Nigel Lythgoe says there'll be a couple of changes to improve Series 6, including an extra episode to introduce all the Top 20 finalists, a secondary competition during the results show - to decrease filler and increase the amount of dancing, plus he'll be looking for more celebrities to perform in a guest spot! And for the fitness fans, SYTYCD have caught on - the video is out now! Or soon.
LOL at your comment about Louis van Amstel! He's also an excellent choreographer who made some of the finest Latin and ballroom routines for the kids on SYTYCD this past season.

ReplyDeleteI'm a bit worried that they're announcing next week Scatty. Every year they only reveal a week or 2 before the show starts at the end of september. Assuming they'll still try to end to coincide with christmas - it makes me think they're starting early, meaning they've extended it and added even more couples.....and 16 was too many really last year, 14 was best! I really hope they haven't gone crazy and are doing 18 couples. :o/
I wonder if they've had the guts to sign a John Sergeant esc contestant? ;o)
Fear not Miss Foxy! It's another sign of age you know - they announced it this week last year! That gives them about a month before the first live show to get the hang of their first routine!
ReplyDeleteIf they have got another JS, there'll be none of the nastiness from the judges - the critics will be waiting to pounce on anything approaching ageism! I think having Alesha will make a difference, I can't imagine she'll be anything over than nice to everyone. Craig will be let loose as usual but Len can return to being the kindly uncle! Bruno will just be ...Bruno! I'm so excited!!!

ReplyDeletequite right - she can rest safely in the knowledge that the vast majority of the audience don't get involved in the show other than on Saturday night - and they'll love her. The media spend too much time trawling the message boards and taking a minority of people seriously!
