The pairings for Dancing With The Stars 9 have been confirmed on the ABC website - they're all as previously reported - the link will take you through to the gallery of pro dancers for a bit of info about each. I just realised that Julianne Hough is missing - which is a real shame, as she's the only one I was vaguely familiar with, after seeing quite of few of her and Helio's routines, courtesy of a fellow dance fan on the SCD forum a couple of years ago (Hiya, charliesangel, if you happen to have stumbled across me here!) I shall have to revisit them for Showtime! I'm not sure if I'll be able to view the show in full for a commentary, rest assured though, if I can, I'll mess around with their names just as I will on SCD - Natalec, Kaarona, Chuanna and Debimak and Kellou are all I've got so far!
Our very own Uncle Len is going to be a film star, starring alongside the wonderful Virginia McKenna (Born Free, Carve Her Name With Pride) in the film Love/Loss, where he'll play a - wait for it - dance teacher, in a village dance club!
Go Len! :o)
ReplyDeleteThis is it Scatty - the day is here! I can hardly breathe I'm so excited! Lol I hope they've got people I've heard of ;o)
I know, I'm shaking - there's never been a
ReplyDeleteset of contestants that hasn't grown on me yet, even if I know few of them to begin with - I'm gonna just kick back and enjoy this series:)
They're up, they're up!!!! And I've heard of them all (except Jo Wood) - woohoo! Lots of ex-soap/light drama people this year.
ReplyDeleteWomen: Lynda Bellingham, Zoe Lucker, Laila Rouass, Ali Bastian, Jo Wood, Jade Johnson, Natalie Cassidy and Martina Hingis
Men: Phil Tufnell (YES!!), Ricky Groves, Ricky Whittle, Rav Wilding, Richard Dunwoody, Criag Kelly, Chris Hollins and Joe Calzaghe.
Yes, just gettings some links to each of them - but there's nothing been confirmed with regard to partnerships on the official sites yet, which is annoying! Off to the pictures now with Matt, so I'll finish it off and post it all later!
ReplyDeleteWooHoo - it's up now. Anton is with Laila, about time he had someone younger! Brendan has Jo and I really think she could be struggling in terms of the 'unknown factor'. Also thinking Ricky Whittle will need to make a good impression because he's possibly lesser known and has been paired with a new dancer - usually a kiss of death that one!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your post on the line-up and the many weeks of banter to come Scatty! :o)
it's on it's way - couldn't wait - need to hurry though or will miss the film ...
ReplyDeleteI recognize Martina Hingis!
ReplyDeleteOh, bless you - they do seem to have a glut of actors this time, normally have some singers but the sportspeople are cool :)
