Strictly Come Dancing won the Best Reality Show title at the TRIC awards (Television and Radio Industry Club) with ex-contestant Ballroom Bill Turnbull also picking up an award for Best Newscaster/Reporter.
Series 8 winner Kara Tointon has won the role of Eliza Doolittle in the new West End production of Pygmalion - I actually can't think of a more perfect choice, the ex-Eastender turning into a princess, am I wrong??
Tess Daly wants Bruce to put in a word with his mate Sean Connery, and have him sign for the next series. No arguments from me on that one either!
Strictly judge Alesha Dixon will join Denise Van Outen and Melanie C as judges on the Comic Relief Does Glee Club, which begins at 5.15pm on CBBC on Monday 14th. David and Carrie Grant and Sisco Gomez will also be on hand to mentor the acts.

Glee: Finding their religion
And in a complete change to last week ... Finn finds religion - in a grilled cheese sarnie - but Kurt's anti-religious views affect the club, specially when his dad suffers a heart attack and lapses into a coma. The last thing his dad said to Kurt was that he was disappointed in him for snubbing the family dinner. (He comes round at the end)
As Sue says (To Kurt, re Glee Club): I mess around with you guys for fun; it aids digestion!
Songs of the night: Only the Good Die Young (Puck); I Look To You (Mercedes); Papa Can you Hear Me (Rachel); I Wanna Hold Your Hand (Kurt - have a hanky ready); Losing My Religion (Finn - it had to happen - after praying to win their soccer game/grope Rachel/be quarterback again, the injury to the existing quarterback makes him guilty!) Bridge Over Troubled Water (Mercedes) and What If God Were One of Us (All).

Glee - Britney night!
Brittany is hilarious. Official. She's also a stunning dancer and was the star of this week's Glee! Emma's cute dentist boyfriend turned up and induced sexy dreams in everyone. Not because he's cute but because of the dental gas! Will tried to convinced everyone he wasn't uptight and didn't manage it until Sue convinced him to let Glee club do the Britney number - by insisting that they shouldn't!
One of those lines you almost miss: "Students who ate the ravioli today and not up to speed with their tetanus jab, see the nurse!" Principal Figgis, before the big show number.
Big songs of the night: Hit Me Baby One More Time; Stronger; Toxic - the song; the only video of the dance I could find - you'll have to somehow open them at the same time!

'Three Minutes' with Harry Shum Jnr and Stephen 'tWitch' Boss
If you haven't seen this, it's a must - it's not dancing, but they are two of the top dancers in the world today. I'd swear the lightsabre battle could be put to music, the lyrical movement in their bodies is so evident! There's an interview with Harry here too.

It's back: Gleeks Unite!
Sue and Will join forces against the new football coach, who I think is the old coach in drag. But I could be wrong. Rachel is very naughty and sends a rival to a crack house instead of a New Directions audition; Arnie tries for the football team, which gets Finn thrown off it - so he auditions for Cheerios.
As Sue Says It: "You'll deafen them with the sound of your stretch marks rubbing together" - To Quinn, trying out for Cheerios.
On Santana's "insult to nature" summer boob job: "You're bottom of the pyramid, so if it fails your exploding sandbags will protect the squad from injury".
Tonight's big numbers: Alicia/JayZ's Empire State of Mind - Telephone - Billionaire - Listen - What I Did For Love.

Snippets: Flashdance, Blaze, Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing on Ice, Glee,
Fab review of the Arlene Phillips choreographed 'Flashdance' at the Shaftesbury Theatre. And a review of Blaze in Glasgow.
Strictly Come Dancing judge, Len Goodman will be hosting his own three-part BBC Radio 2 show from next month. Co-judge Alesha Dixon is fronting a documentary 'Don't Hit My Mum' about domestic violence and reveals she witnessed it first hand and here's another interview with her. And Craig Revel Horwood will be judging Britain's Best Sausage. Seriously, stop making up your own jokes ... he's looking forward to checking out the best bangers. A health Q&A with Arlene Phillips .
Excellent interview with James and Pamela. And one with Tess Daly.
More Dancing on Ice possibles, Corrie stars Steven Arnold and Julia Haworth.
BBC Worldwide and ABC begin broadcasting Skating With The Stars next month.
Interview with West End star and former Dancing on Ice judge, Ruthie Henshall.
Cat Deeley's been taking dancing notes ... she came up with this by herself - warning: Swearing! They did ask for it ... I'm assuming it's either a joke or it was edited it out! Worked a treat though!
Glee's Matthew Morrison will apparently be duetting with Sting on his debut album.

The Help for Heroes fundraising concert has added Katherine Jenkins to the line up, alongside Alesha Dixon, Jason Manford, Julio Iglesias, James Blunt, Robbie Williams and The Wanted.
Ray Quinn is at home in the West End.
Dermot O'Leary reckons Glee is having a positive effect on X-Factor groups. I hope so, Dermot, I truly hope so!
Not long now for Glee Season Two! In the meantime, here's an interview with fab Brittany, aka Heather Morris.

Our inaugural So You Think You Can Dance winner, Charlie Bruce performed in front of millions at the American finale, and has landed herself the role of lead dancer in the West End production of Dirty Dancing, where she'll step up to the lead role of Baby in December! Well done Charlie!

Snippets: Strictly Come Dancing, So You Think You Can Dance, Glee
Strictly Come Dancing will launch with a one hour special, during which we will see the pro dancers paired with their celebrity. It'll be pre-recorded on 8th September and air on the 11th, before the live shows kick off on October 2nd. I saw one report that mentioned fireworks and high wires ... and it wasn't on The Scatter either! I suspect it will be shortly ...
Check out Ellen DeGeneres' tribute to Alex Wong on So You Think You Can Dance and here's an interview with winner Lauren Froderman, and another with Cat Deeley.
The Glee cast are going to be comic book stars! And Mark Salling, aka Puck, is releasing a solo album.

Snippets: Strictly Come Dancing, Arlene, Derek&Julianne Hough, Adam Shankman, Glee,
Strictly Come Dancing is still the numero uno of reality shows, when it comes to exporting success to the world.
Arlene Phillips' Alana Dancing Star books are set to be released in October, with a further two titles in January and then another two in May. I wish I had a junior school age daughter; I got away with buying Harry Potter, but I think books with cut-out-and-dress dolls in them might be pushing it a bit!
Now, I'm not one for gossipy stuff - but go beyond the headline in this piece and have a jolly good read about Derek and Julianne Hough!
Rumour is that So You Think You Can Dance's Adam Shankman may be directing a Michael Jackson themed Glee episode or maybe not! Either way, it may be the event of Season Two. And some of the Glee cast are signed to do The Simpsons!

Trav's Thoughts are in - and such was the impression made by Kent, we already have a video!
tv.com listed their all time Top 10 on screen dance scenes - see if you agree with their choices.
Artem Chigvintsev apparently has to re-apply for a work visa, as he will be working too many hours if he stars in Burn The Floor and Strictly Come Dancing. I think it highly unlikely he's about to be deported, seeing as how Strictly hasn't even begun yet! Does the "strictly insider" not know this? And how could he expect to do both anyway? And I'd love to know what junior doctors think about these "too many hours ..."
An Independant Q&A with Mark Ramprakash ... Strictly Gershwin will be at the Royal Albert Hall next summer ...Glee creator Ryan Murphy is creating a show specifically for Kirstin Chenoweth to star in.

Snippets: Strictly Come Dancing, Glee, Don't Stop Believing, Step Up 3D,
New Strictly Come Dancing Pro, Robin Windsor fancies Alesha - more importantly, he has some words of support for her.
According to William Hill, Jessica Ennis and Rebecca Adlington have expressed an interest in Strictly - but after seeing what happened to Jade, I doubt we'll see them before they've retired.
Zandra Rhodes will do Strictly - but not just yet! Wardrobe must be rubbing their hands with glee!
Talking of Glee, Matthew Morrison is apparently going to shave his lovely curly locks (if you're a fan) or "Your hair looks so much like a briar patch that I’m expecting racist, animated Disney characters to pop out and start singing songs about the bayou"(if you're Sue Sylvester!) although a casting call has gone out for a double to do it on camera - having said that, it's been shorn in that accompanying picture.
Step Up 3D has premiered - these are some of the cast having fun on the red carpet, and here's a review.
Don't Stop Believing has lost viewers since it began - the age old issue I'm afraid - billing something as the search for the 'best' and then allowing sentimentality into it, plus introducing the judges as the stars instead of the competitors. Dale Diva are making the most of it though. Behind the scenes with Anastacia.

Snippets: Burn the Floor, Glee, So You Think You Can Dance, Barclays Live
Burn the Floor with Ali and Brian is under way, but with limited shows until 5th September, you'll need to get in quick! One off Sport Relief Strictly Come Dancing winner, Kara Tointon, stole the limelight apparently, at the launch.
Interview with Glee's Jane Lynch; interview with Arlene Phillips.
Trav's Thoughts are in! No injuries but two to go this week!
Brendan Cole and the Barclays Live gang will be on stage in London's Leicester Square on Saturday 31st, with things kicking off around 10.00am. Tribute act Kins of Leon will be there, along with Funkstylerz and the top auditionees. See you there!

Snippets: So You Think You Can Dance, Strictly Come Dancing, Burn the Floor, Glee,
Big news this week - (Foxy, you might want to sit down for this!) Matthew Cutler and Lilia Kopylova have decided not to take up roles in the Strictly Pro group, although Ian Waite and Darren Bennett have. Best wishes to Matthew and Lilia in their future projects and we may still see them guesting on the show.
Rumours wise, Tina O'Brien, who played Sarah Louise Platt in Coronation Street, is said to have signed, before taking up a role in Waterloo Road.
Alesha will be switching on the Blackpool Illuminiations.
And Yay! Our Claudia will be fronting the Sunday results show with Tess in place of Brucie! They made a great team last year when Brucie was ill, so good on the Powers That Be for going with it again permanently.
Trav's Thoughts are in, apologies for them being a little late this week - why does everything happen all in the same week! The show report here and the recap and vids here, three excellent hiphop routines tonight and a twist in the result!
Brian and Ali are burning up the floor!
The Stage interview Glee's Matthew Morrison.
Tamzin Outhwaite wants to bring a little music to Eastenders and hasn't ruled out Strictly Come Dancing or Dancing on Ice in the future!

Snippets: Strictly Come Dancing, Glee, Got To Dance
More rumours for Strictly - Frank Bruno, Jennifer Metcalfe (Hollyoaks) and the Masterchef guys, John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
The Got To Dance audition dates have been announced - time for you to apply!
Glee writers have been dropping hints about Series 2!
And sorry to end on a sad note - but there was a message from Cutest Blog on the Block this morning to say my blog background will disappear and I have to choose a new one! Devastated doesn't descibe how I feel, I love my background, it's the prettiest one I've come across! So just to warn you, because I don't know what else is out there, I may take the opportunity to change the look completely, so bear with me if things become a little erratic in the next couple of weeks!

Snippets: Karen Hardy, Strictly Come Dancing, Glee, League of Extraordinary Dancers.
Karen Hardy Dance Studios has set up a blog and first piece of news is that she'll be performing at the Chelsea Summer Gala on July 23rd.
Strictly Come Dancing have their own make-up range out for Christmas! You'll have to scroll down past the Sex and the City and Fearne stuff - unless you're interested in make up of course, then feel free to peruse!
There's an interview with Glee star, Matthew Morrison, on T4.
And finally, The League of Extradordinary Dancers - this will launch on Wednesday and among the dancers is Glee's Harry Sum Jr. (Mike Chang), who also choreographs - what a fantastic notion: Superhero dancers, I can't wait!

Snippets: Glee, Diversity, Hip Hop, Breakdancing, Swing
The all-singing, all-dancing show Glee will soon be available in book form - presumably with audio books to follow, or did they not think of that? And the series creator , Ryan Murphy, has promised that even though new cast members are making headlines, the second season will focus on the original cast, with the newbies more of a catalyst to storylines.
The 9th annual World Hip Hop Dance Championship is headed for Vegas! And an interview with English former European breakdancing champion, Andrea Stockburn.
Diversity unveiled a plaque in tribute to Michael Jackson, as tribute show Thriller Live opens at the Lyric Threatre.
The Royal Albert hall are holding a swing night - no, not that sort. Honestly - no, In Full Swing is a proper back-to-the-forties night of good oldfashioned fun and dance to top bands and DJs. It's a part of the Big Dance 2010 events.

Snippets: Glee, Strictly Come Dancing, Don't Stop Believing
Latest Strictly rumours - and two people I wouldn't mind seeing give it a go: Ann Widdicombe (love to see her and Bruno spark off each other!) and Gavin Henson! Splash that fan take on some more, why dontcha!
Karen Hardy speaks about suffering from the baby blues, at the opening of a mum and baby unit in the South West.
Karen Smith, an early driving force behind Strictly Come Dancing, is now an Executive Producer for Don't Stop Believing.
Glee news: Talking Shop with Matthew Morrison; UK Gleeks won't see the live tour anytime soon; Cory Monteith (Finn) is branching out into film.
