Britain's Got Talent; some gossip.

American actress Carmen Elektra is standing in for Amanda Holden on the Britain's Got Talent panel, while the British judge recovers from the traumatic birth of her second child recently.

Sadly, it appears there are idiots in the audience booing her - because she isn't Amanda! Jeez - what's with these people? Don't take it personally, Carmen, they take their reality TV a little, no far, too seriously and they'd probably do it to anyone.

Nice to hear Alesha is very much her own person and not overawed by The Boss!

Dancing on Ice Twist!

The promised twist alluded to by Philip has been announced - a series of head to head performances will take place on Sunday, with the judges choosing which of each pairing will be safe from elimination!

The producers have matched the contestants with their nearest competitors from Movie Week's leaderboard - which means Jorgatt versus Mattina! I don't envy the judges on that one!

At the bottom end, it's Cookey versus Semmy, which, if they play to Chemmy's strengths this week, should see her through without much trouble. Elsewhere though, it's closer than close, with Romark versus Vindy, Dannifer against Sebianne and Andi taking on Mattene. Toughie.

In other news, Alesha is her normal down to earth self on the red carpet and Ola talks about life as she knows it.

Snippets: So You Think You Can Dance; National Television Awards

Nigel Lythgoe has confirmed on Twitter that the new US series will not have a separate results show like before - let's hope this doesn't signal the beginning of the end of the series in the US. I still can't believe they axed it here, there's definitely an audience for it, even if not on prime time Beeb 1 on a Saturday.

The National Television Awards shortlist has been released and it's the usual suspects against each other for  Best Talent Show: Strictly Come Dancing; X-Factor; Dancing on Ice; Britain's Got Talent. It's a no-brainer this year isn't it - got to be Strictly?

A review of the Streetdance 3D film, making me want to see it even more, were that possible!

Fun streetomedy act from Britain's Got Talent, Twist and Pulse, tell of their connection to Diversity and Flawless, plus UTV have linked the video.

And Emma Bunton will host a new Glee-style reality show, airing on Channel Five, called Don't Stop Believing. This means as soon as Over the Rainbow has finished I'm going to migrate music over to this blog too, since it'll include both dance and music - and I need to cut down on how many different sites I'm adding to, before I start to post music links on Rochester People and tell all of you what's happening at the Cathedral this summer!

Tobias Mead Audition

So the only decent dance audition from Britain's Got Talent was this 22 year old, who's realized that being able to dance isn't good enough - you have to have something different in your act to make an impact. Which, luckily for him, he did!

Make the most of any of the dance auditions you see, as word on Too Much Flavour is that the BGT bosses don't want another dance winner this year, so you're unlikley to see them in the public vote sections!

Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood will be taking over the role of Edna Turnblad in hit West end Musical, Hairspray ... So You Think You Can Dance finalists, Tommy and Lizzie are signed to appear in the Hip Hop show Blaze, premiering on March 11th ... Watch out Ashley, there's a four year old hot on your heels, who wowed at the Britain's Got Talent auditions! Are we happy about this, is it too much pressure - or will he (like I think) be too young to understand and be just happy to dance? News in Brief: There's a lot ...

Diversity are hitting the tour trail, with a show built around routines where toys come to life! I cannot wait - but I'll have to, because it doesn't start till March! And I'm liking the sound of the X-Factor meets Britain's Got Talent Show (scroll right to the end!) on the Isle of Man - with George Sampson and Signature joining Diversity! (And - Stavros Flatley!) The London and Essex group are also joined by George and fellow streetdancers Flawless in a 3D film called - wait for it - Streetdance! But there's ballet dancers in it too! 2010 looking good!

Camilla has left the jungle - the reigning Strictly champion was unsurprisingly left exhausted due to the lack of food on offer, having a higher metabolism than any of her camp mates. Knowing that the food dwindles even further as the show goes on, it's a sensible decicion - nice to have you home safe and well, Cam.

Strictly itself will be reverting to a two part show on a Saturday night for the final three weeks, to allow the public more voting time, and not, as no doubt our red top friends will suggest, because they're scared of X-Factor and/or viewers and/or Arlene and/or the BBC Trust have complained and/or it's all falling to pieces cos Brucie was ill blah blah blah blah ...
