Snippets from the Strictly training rooms:

Erin Boag may be out of the competition, but she's still very busy! Find out what she gets up to during the week with her sneaky backstage diary. Find out what the dancers eat (especially a very messy Vincent) and what she gets up to outside of Saturday!

Rachel Stevens and Vincent are reunited for their ‘Christmas Special’ routine and are both delighted to be dancing together again! Chris has revealed he is in complete and utter shock at reaching the semis! To get this far and against so many other wonderful dancers was a real surprise. Ricky really wants to show the people at home that he is having a great time and really wants to be here - he has said that he definitely does not want to leave the competition at this stage. Find out more on the official Strictly website.

Dancing With The Stars 'Triple Threat' Julianne Hough (dancer, singer, actress!) has released a dance-yourself-fit DVD to add to the rest of them gathering dust, I mean, residing on the shelves for the post-Christmas fat-burn-off push.

Actor Gary Lucy is looooking gooooood for the start of Dancing on Ice in January, partnered by reigning champion Maria Filipov. That rumour is pretty much confirmed then!

MJ has posted the performance and results for So You Think You Can Dance.

And Just Dance, Sky's reality rival for the UK SYTYCD, has been re-named Got to Dance - click here to see a trailer featuring Davina - no, that's not her somersaulting off the table! Am tempted to get Sky now - only because of Ashley, mind!

News in Brief: SCD, Just Dance, Faces, Wii, Live Shows

Another interview with Darcey Bussell talking fitness, dancing and saving the planet - not neccessarily in that order! And looking forward for the chance to tease Len! And another interview with Alesha.

There's a new Wii game out, so you can dance your way to fitness, which just might make it's way onto the list I've still to leave lying handily about somewhere, best get a move on with that.

I'm really not sure if I want to see this or not - Davina McCall has recreated Flashdance, for the new series Just Dance on Sky. And will also be giving it some on a recreation of Beyonce's Single Ladies. I'm not going to comment, I can wait. Is Davina looking to be the UK Ellen De Generes?

An insight into the importance of facial features and selling a dance.

Strictly has upset a professional dancer now! Not one of theirs, I hasten to add. But really, Michael, I've been to far more theatre shows since I got really into Strictly than I ever did before. Have you thought of reducing your ticket prices? Adding in a comedian? Because 'Ballet Boyz', which I'm sure is a fantastic show, is very specialised - a night out at a Strictly show is much more of the variety type event. But I keep an eye out now for anything dance related at my local theatres and - cost and childcare permitting (because we all know, don't we, working mums, what a major military operation it is, trying to have an evening out) will go along and support it. Which I'd never have done before.

Dancing on Ice rehearsals are reportedly under way, with the contestants a closely guarded secret - we could try bombarding @Schofe I suppose! And rumours of Emma Bunton join rumours of Suzanne Shaw joining the judging panel!

Interview with Dancing With the Stars Carrie Ann Inaba

Interview with So You Think You Can Dance's Mia Michaels

Just Dance have signed up Coyote Ugly actor Adam Garcia, Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and our very lovely own lovely Ashley Banjo from Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity, to judge. Maybe I will get Sky after all.

BBC Nabs So You Think You Can Dance! Woohoo!

And OH YES! Nigel Lythgoe is bringing SYTYCD to the BBC in January (auditions beginning in Oct) and having seen footage of the American counterpart, I'm convinced it won't be a dance version of X-Factor; we'll only see the absolute cream of who they find, to fight it out for the title of Britain's Favourite Dancer. So from January we'll have SYTYCD on the Beeb on Saturdays, Dancing on Ice on ITV on Sundays and Just Dance on Sky (which I don't have and won't be getting so I'll just wing that one) *Hugs self with excitement* Arlene Phillips is set to be on the judging panel for SYTYCD and rumours are they'll bring Cat Deeley back over to present; Davina will be presenting Just Dance.
