Strictly Come Dancing - It Takes Two: Rock/Judges/Hard Place

Backstage Pass courtesy of the unsung heroes in the Sound Department. Did you know - there are one hundred and forty sources of sound in the Strictly live show and forty eight mikes on the band - ten alone on the drums! Since Mark and Karen's mishap, the mikes for all the dancers are sewn into their costumes; The crew have a great excuse when they need to get away from someone - they just tap their headsets and mouth "sorry - duty calls!" Now you know ...

Zojam on the sad sofa tonight - is it just me or is Claudia a little bit abashed - seeing as how she was so vociferous about getting Craig to Blackpool? Zoe (Not so Lucker) is gutted "such an amazing journey and then suddenly it stops." James (His Lucker ran out) had a bad feeling about it, when he considered who was doing what dance, he could figured it was likely they'd be mid-table. There's no regrets that they didn't have any dramas they could play up, unlike some other couples. Emotional highlights, everyone weepy.

The judges were, as it says, between a rock and a hard place, not wishing to lose either couple in this week's dance off. Alesha hit specially hard it seems - having done a dance off herself, she knows what it's like. Ali and Brian can take heart from that though, they can come back. Craig's on the sofa, Len's in Abe Lincoln's chair in the Lincoln Memorial, neither could have predicted the bottom two and both based their decision on Ali being the better natural dancer, but there really was nothing to split them. Then they air kissed and made up. On a lighter note, Craig has won a TMA Award - the oscars of the regional theatre world - for the Spend Spend Spend musical. Len, not to be outdone, says he's also won an award - a Gold Card for frequent flying, lol.

Chrola on the sofa, both sad about Zoe and James of course - it feels like they're related says Chris (Shook his groove thing) they've spent so much time together. Ola (Cha Cha Cheeky) says she chose the red catsuit herself, since she had the black last year, this year decided on red! James will be helping Chris out now, which is terrific news, hopefully he can instill the confidence in him he needs.

The Statsman cometh - so far, the couples between them have racked up 1586 hours of training! Phew! We see the evidence from training room to ballroom in the end credits.

Anyone miss the show and no time to catch up? Here's Strictly in Sixty Seconds!
